Advanced Witness Preparation Package
Where your witness has special characteristics which call for an in-depth understanding, Evident Plus includes an assessment and the participation of an experienced, leading performance psychologist [or a clinical psychologist, depending on the witness concerned].
Where the case is a heavy one in which the witness is expected to face a silk when giving evidence or a particularly large sum of money is at stake, Evident Plus brings in a silk as trainer and can also provide one of its roster of retired judges and practising arbitrators to lend greater verisimilitude to the cross-examination.
Format & Flexibility
- Training delivered at client solicitor offices, external venues, or online via video conferencing. - Sessions scheduled to suit busy witnesses, including evenings and weekends.
Structure
- Around 4 hours of preparation for each witness, including: - Familiarisation session and explanation - Cross-examination - Techniques review: good practices and common pitfalls - Video review with barrister and communications trainers
Trainers
- All barrister-trainers have more than 10 years of experience. - Barrister-trainers work alongside professional communication coaches. - Add-ons available on request: Silk and/or judge (retired or part-time).
Learning Reinforcement
- All sessions are recorded. - Each witness (and the client) receives a personal Briefing Note afterwards, summarising key learning points and areas for improvement.

Experienced Advocates
All of our clients receive training from top-quality barristers with experience before the relevant courts and tribunals.
Clients can choose whether they wish to be trained by junior or senior counsel, as well as specialist counsel in the relevant area.
Our witnesses may also choose to be cross-examined by counsel in Cantonese, Mandarin, or English.
We include communications trainers as an integral part of the process, giving the witness a real insight into how what they say is perceived by the audience, the tribunal.
Experienced Judges
Unique in the region, our clients can choose to have their preparation with former judges or experienced arbitrators presiding – including from those with specialist experience in specialist courts and tribunals. This allows witnesses the unique and priceless opportunity to reproduce this aspect of evidence a real, specialist hearing.

Interpreters
Witnesses may be examined in a language different from their own. In courts and tribunals, this means that evidence will be given through an interpreter. This is a difficult and unique impediment to evidence. To simulate aspect of evidence, we use experienced interpreters as part of our training sessions.
